MIBC: A Colorless and Chemically Stable Flotation Frother

Methyl isobutyl carbinol (MIBC) is a high boiling, colorless, stable liquid that serves as a solvent for ethyl cellulose, certain phenolics, oils, dyes, gums, and natural resins. It functions as a latent solvent for nitrocellulose and is miscible with organic solvents while having limited solubility in water.

MIBC does not contain detectable quantities of polycyclic aromatics, heavy metals, or chlorinated compounds.
